Yes it was.
And I found out how much more leisurely my Sunday is just by waking up ten minutes earlier. I decided against wearing anything floral, but I wore a gleaming cream blouse under a black crepe poet's shirt with my black jacket and leggings. And a sparkly cream scarf around my neck and a sparkly black bow in my hair. Sparkly = a good thing for me. I grabbed Giggly Ballerina Piggly to come to church as well. She, however, only had her sparkly personality!

I actually left home without knowing what the temperature was. Silly me, considering that I was wearing my mary janes and not boots. When I got to church, my new sis RS and I did the bouncy happy-to-see-each-other thing. And she wants us to go to a movie soon. Yes, that would be a lot of fun.

I knew the service would be amazing and I wasn't disappointed. They'd moved in extra chairs into the sanctuary and housed the overflow in the social hall with a live feed. Brent mentioned that there had been 44 for the sunrise service at the lake, 200 for the 9:00 a.m. and a full house (I couldn't get over how packed the balcony was) for 11:00. Certainly, the most people we've ever had attend on one day. And that wasn't even counting the people who would show up at 7:00 p.m.

I'd snagged one of the chairs in front of the first pew, which meant I was sitting two rows closer to the altar. With all of the extra people and redressing of the altar, etc., the service didn't end until 12:20. Hey, I could have still been sitting there; I didn't want it to be over.

On the way home, I noticed I'd missed a call from John, so I called him. He was sending his regrets for Easter dinner, but would like to come over later this week. I was fine with that. When I got home, I had some brussel sprouts, baked 'tater with sour cream, Italian meatballs and two glasses of white merlot. Um, no, not all in one go. That was basically lunch and dinner, spread out over a few hours.

I watched the penultimate epi of Project Runway Canada. I can't wait to see the collections shown at Toronto Fashion Week. And I signed an online petition against an incredibly stupid (narrow-minded, bigoted, choose your own derogatory words) move by Amazon. No, I won't link to it here, because I'm bad at the linky thingy. But I'm sure enough people have posted about it elsewhere.

Anyway, that was my day. I really, really, really need to crawl into bed right now. I know I've tempted fate (with the help of all my angels to make my back problems disappear for a day) and should really catch up on my rest. But everybody gets a peaceful and persistent hug NOW!
