So I stayed up until 3-ish and then toddled off to bed. I set the alarm for 10 a.m. As I'd closed the window, those annoying pre-dawn birds didn't have the same WAKE-UP-NOW-OR-ELSE effect. What a relief.
Brekkie was the customary cereal, milk and the last 'nana (in existence, lol). I managed to do quite a lot today (which may not have been wise). The barricade in front of the bed is gone. There are three empty boxes in the living room that the cats have enjoyed playing with. The contents of two of them were books (I'm donating many to the church, tossing a whole bunch of trashy ones and keeping a few). I found my iron ::dances with glee::, also a new filter for the humidifier and, oh, yes, the humidifier (which of course I don't need as it's summer).
But still no SGA or ST reboot DVDS. Arrgghh. Lunch was amusing. I opened a can of tuna (to an appreciative audience again) and ate it with a dollop of spicy peanut sauce. Around 5 p.m., I realized I'd overexerted myself and lay down for a nap. Pathetic attempt, what with the kids screaming from the swimming pool outside. But I tried, even though my fingers were throbbing.
In the evening, I poked about on the balcony and found two huge bags of bathroom supplies (you know, bath salts and bandaids), so I dragged them inside. I guess I'll spend tomorrow wondering how and where I'm going to stuff the contents. And I noticed my toolkit out there, but was too tired to drag it in. At least it exists, not like (why don't you sing along) my missing DVDs!!! Dinner was the rest of the tabbouleh.
Today was my childhood friend's b'day (she's caught up to me), so I sent her a Hallmark e-card, all sophisticated and stuff. [It's funny, I may be mumble mumble years old, but my skin has never been more beautiful. Wrinkles? Not in MY mirror.]
And, now, I'm just hanging around, waiting for the 'puter to finish Doing. Stuff. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Oops! I just yawned. That means more ice water now. And nighty-night, all.
