Oh, well. OTOH, my horrible enemy insomnia seems to be trying to reenter my life. Go away already. It also doesn't make any sense. After all, I'm exposed to daylight with no barriers every single day, so the light should be hitting the back of my retina, promoting good sleep. So, even though it hadn't been that many hours since I'd gone to sleep, I woke up around 4:30, unable to breathe and with pain on my face. Arrgghh. So I got up and puttered around on the 'puter. Even though there was very little happening. The only good thing about waking up so early is that I took my pre-food med earlier and could enjoy brekkie (chicken divan with squash and yellow/green beans) earlier.

And then I did settle down to one chore. I remembered writing down my ophthalmologist's appointment on the back of an envelope!!! Why did I not write it in my medical notebook or even on the back of the doctor's business card? Um ... I forgot ... maybe. And I had tons of envelopes from mail that hadn't been sorted. Okay, I started doing that and developped a crick in my heck and other body parts. But I finally found it and that was a relief. I thought the appointment was Monday at 1:45. Huh - it's on Tuesday.

So, considering that my body hurt and I didn't have the same desperate need for clean clothes, I postponed doing the laundry until Monday. And then I went back to sorting and tossing and eventually carried a large bag of papers/envelopes onto the balcony for recycling. 'Cuz that ain't my job.

I enjoyed having a mixed bag for lunch: two cheddar tea biscuits, yogurt and - later - cold pasta salad. I decided to rewatch this week's Glee because I loved the boy-group. But I watched it from bed and was a bit sleepy, but not enough to really sleep. ::blames the time change - again::

So I got out of bed and finally washed all of the dishes before disappearing back into the bedroom where I turned on the fireplace AND opened the window for fresh air. Another warm (but slightly damp) day. So dinner was more summery (cold carrot/celery soup with the wheat-free, gluten-free crackers Brian got for me, because they're made entirely from seeds, including my fave sesame). And, then - oh, finally - it was time for a 2-hour nap, though not before taking pain killers for The. Stupid. Eye. Arrgghh. And, now, I'm sitting here with my bag of washed apples, so I can munch away before going back to bed and hoping I can sleep through the entire night. ::crosses fingers:: Nighty-night, universe ... pleeeeeeeease.

Wow! You're a fast reader.

Hmmmm. Perhaps I should change my screensaver from the space station to fishies. Nah, too much trouble. I'll just stare at peeps floating in space.

Thank you for the hugs.
Lots of 'em backrightatcha!

Alas, it's something I will have to live with for the rest of my life.

So ... um ... if you happen to see a certain Colonel sauntering by, send him over to kiss my ouchie. Because OMG that chibi is so adorable!!!!!

And your wishes helped, thank you! The alarm just went off a quarter of an hour earlier (for eye drops and pill); if it hadn't, I would still have been sleeping (after six whole hours already, though possibly with more of the vivid dreams)!
