::whispers:: I think my body is taking part in a conspiracy. Mind you, it's a different conspiracy than the other one. So, what happened? Well, I'd set the alarm for 7 to book rides. My body woke me up after 5 which actually was a good thing as it's getting more difficult to book rides (see, that's the other conspiracy). I got my pickup ride for tomorrow, no problem; but the return? Oy, just oy. Normally, our meetings end at 3 and I request a 3:15 pickup (that has an obligatory possible 30 minute window beyond that). But, knowing what happened in January, I decided to ask for 2:45. The computer said NO and offered me an alternate time of 2:30. So I took a chance and booked it. And tonight I learn that I'm being picked up at – eek – 2:35. Well, I hope people understand that I'm not being deliberately rude by taking off early. It's just the ... system.
After making the booking, I tried to fall back asleep and did manage for a little while. My brekkie was something new: chickpeas with ginger (and cubed potatoes). There was separate white rice and veggies that I mixed in too. It was ... merely okay. My next batch of meals was delivered by my ever-cheerful person. She took my comments back to the office about the new meals and I got a phone call from management about my comments/complaints. Well, imagine my surprise to be told that I could continue to order from the previous supplier. Huh? Now I'm really confused. But I decided to take another chance and ordered mostly new meals for next week. Yes, I'm being brave (with my stomach).
I realized I hadn't checked to see if there'd been a new Little Mosque on the Prairie this week. As there was, I watched it. And then I started working on this week's cooking blog, all about the way Brian and I celebrated my birthday, in all its culinary glory! But I was in a panic, because I was missing recipes, so I e-mailed him.
Then, after a very weird half-dinner of burnt whole wheat toast and cheese, I had a nap. Which my body sabotaged because my feet were cold. That's what I get when I don't put socks on after getting out of the tub. But-but-but ::sputters:: it was 59F even as late as 7:00 p.m. I didn't expect to feel cold in my cozy cocoon. ::sighs::
So I'm munching on apples and chocolate and am going to work on the blog for a while. And then ::glares:: sleeeeeeeeep.
