::giggles::
Oh, let me tell you about church this morning. Brent's sermon was about S-E-X. The funny thing is that he was very nervous, to the extent he admitted he'd really rushed through it during the 9 a.m. service. Also, I believe he mentioned he's only talked about sex (including today) three times during his 34 years as Senior Pastor. The point is, if people can't hear about it at an MCC, what other church are they going to hear it from (without it being all about sex = dirty, bad, wrong, etc.)?
Luckily he managed to calm himself down and even included a couple of hilarious jokes. I can't wait to rewatch the webcast and wish there were some way to download it. ::sighs::
Before the service, RS cornered me and said she had some exciting news to share. So we found a quiet place and she told me. Yup, definitely exciting. I'm very happy for her.
I asked her if there was anywhere I could take a special exercise class (I'd love to find a place that has the electronic pedaller) and she said I could join the class she takes once a week. All I need is for my doctor (oh, noes) to sign the form and it's free. I'm glad I asked, even though there's always a waiting list.
Church-John was back after his surgery and many weeks of absence. Lots of people came up to greet him.
After church was a problem. Luckily, it was semi-warm and I found a sunny spot to wait. And wait. And waiiiiiiiiit. I'd gone outside at 12:15, even though my ride wasn't due until 12:55. Talk about feeling really abandoned when even Brent and Rev. Don walked out the door.
Then I had to wait until 1:25 to call it in. Dispatch said my driver was stuck on the Danforth but would be arriving shortly. Hmmm, was it the Greek Independence Day parade? Anyway, I was so relieved when he did show up, even though I was exhausted when I got home after 2:30.
It's no wonder I couldn't wait to have my nap. Though, right now, I'm having a headache. I guess that means getting back to sleep again soon.
