Poor, poor blonde! Everything and everybody conspired to steal time from her on Friday.
First it was the provincial government. What? How? Well, the blonde was offered Air Miles to participate in a very extensive online health survey. Um ... 30 minutes? Try TWO hours. Oy. Only after I finished could I go hunt down brekkie (Friday's delightful Fish'n'chips). Lunch wasirresponsible equally delightful. What was it? Um ... ice cream? But-but-but, the blonde sputters, I found dairy has a calming effect on my gastric issues. Yeah, yeah, I can see I'm not convincing anybody.
Later I did a more nuanced rewatch of the chosen episode for
sga_squee, namely Sateda. It was noteworthy to realize that this was only the second time I'd ever seen the episode. Well, it was difficult to watch, not only because of the subject matter, but also for the style of filming with many jarring flashbacks (not to mention people getting blown up and killed).
After that, it was high time to wash my hair (even though I was feeling dizzy and the lump on my right foot was really painful). So, blondie, what's for dinner? How about a salmon filet along with a few tomatoes, followed by an apple and the last blueberry muffin for dessert.
I'd put off taking a nap for so many hours that I was desperate to take one, even though it was already 9:30 and the rewatch always starts around 10:00. But I set my alarm for 10:40 and fell asleep instantly. Hence I was extremely reluctant to wake up in order to participate in posting comments about the episode. But I did. And now I'm yawning mightily. Once again, I'm behind on reading my flist, but I can't do anything about that tonight. So ... tomorrow?
There was one incandescent moment of beauty. I was in the kitchen at 7:00 a.m. and observed the sunrise, not only the actual sun in a clear sky, but also its reflection in the condo windows across the lake from me. It was exquisite. Mind you, it was still a cold day. But I guess I can't have everything I want ... YET!
