Why? Well, I played around with my totally useless furniture-placement program which was so aggravating because it was the mirror image of what my current layout is. So, I was so frustrated, I used Print Screen and saved the page. Then I managed to transfer it to Paint (which has been a royal Pain - because it's certainly not blind-old-lady friendly and I loved-loved-loved my previous software). But, to my surprise, I managed to flip the drawing to actual status and then even managed to crop it. For some reason, the program had been refusing to let me crop. Then I ran out of patience when it came time to try to resize it. And, um, what are all these metric measurements doing, cluttering up my brain? Ugh. So I sent a request off to Brian.
::snickers:: I sent HIM lots of e-mails. Isn't he lucky to have MOI as his chosen sister? Oh, yes, SO very lucky! I'd also watched an endearing YouTube vid by an English teenage boy about his assistive devices and, thanks to him holding his Android phone up to the screen, now have three APPS I can d/l to use as a portable magnifying device. Ain't technology grand?
I'm waiting for a reply from the donor of the reader to give Brian the exact details. I think this has to do with my wanting to hook it up to the TV. It's still a huge wish (and would remove the need to have another screen in my face). My hope to use my computer monitor is dead and just as well. If one wants to use that, then there has to be an adaptive panel and it would just cause complications and give me a headache. Using a toggle switch, I'd be able to watch the reader, or use my computer or ... ack ... do both via split screen. On a 20" monitor ... ::shakes head:: not gonna work.
Anyway, I'm tired from all of the stuff I was looking up on the web about the reader. So I'm going to take me and my blind old eyes off to bed. ::hears the piggies cheering me from the other side of the room::
