Apparently, I'm able to nap through the air show (its third and final day). There may have been one sonic boom. Either I've become accustomed to it ... or the acrobatics are focused more on agility rather than having planes carving up the sky in a sheer streak of raw power. Also, not sure about this, but I believe that breaking the sound barrier is Bad. For. Birds. Possibly wildlife, too. As for humans, who knows?
Anyway, that was my labour day. Aside from some idiot lighting up some firecrackers at 2:00 a.m. (?!?!?), there were some lovely red and gold dazzlers set off earlier this evening in the park next door, but none of this do-it-all-night-nonsense. I heartily approve. My one concession to the holiday was having the second frozen shrimp pad thai entrée, this time prettily decorated with egg slices.
I'm going back to reading, this time it's an SGA/N.C.I.S. crossover. And then beddies. Yay!
