Well, it's a lot better than playing Let's Be Nauseous Together, right? Because why did I have to wake up at 5:19 a.m.? Yes, I know that the SCREAM of nature was the real reason, but it was simply not possible to fall back asleep. So I was a zombie this morning (though the Ginger Chicken entrée had loads of yummy ginger). I guess I continued the zombiehood by watching the major speakers at last night's DNC. Well, that went on for a while, didn't it?
After an anti-dizziness lunch of cereal, a 'nana and milk, I finally began to feel slightly better (though the stupid eye/headache lingered on). I still had to get my mind in the mood to meet Brian, but the temps were being temperamental, as in the last gasp of summer. So I wore my very airy two-piece leopard-print outfit. Brian didn't text me until 5:24 - ack - because he'd been stuck in a meeting. I went and sat outside anyway until he showed up after 6. We drove to Humber Bay Park West and parked (now it's free). We found a lovely long and very sturdy picnic table and unloaded the provisions. He'd brought REAL home-baked bread (his grandma's recipe) turned into ham'n'cheese sammidges while I'd brought a container of peanut butter filled pretzels and two ida red apples. Oops! He forgot to bring me leftover garlic bread and chili. I must remind him.
We had a really delightful quiet evening out (well, with the exception of some very prominent crickets), watching as the sun dipped lower. I decided to try to use the camera APP on my phone and was pretty impressed to see how many settings there were. I took a bunch of piccies and so did he. He e-mailed me one but, when I got home, I found I can just transfer them over using the USB cable from my digital camera. ::squees:: I ♥ technology! There must be some fab ones, but it was too late and dark to be dealing with such stuff ... so tomorrow. He also applied a new ringtone to calls FROM me. We tried Rising from SGA but it's just not loud enough to attract his attention, so I ... settled for the glorious sounds of SG-1. Now I want him to d/l that ringtone to my phone, so I can attach it to his calls. Oh, we're such a pair!
Earlier in the evening, I read a truckload of spoilers for the first epi of S4 Glee. Like wow - just throw everything at us. Right now, I'm reading the LiveSLOG of tonight's DNC. I guess I'll see the highlights tomorrow. And that's basically it for today. Be back tomorrow.
