I know, I know. I'm just wondering how long this normality is going to last? More waking up after 7. With the blinds drawn, it was difficult to tell how early or late it was. But, as it was nearly cat feeding time, I got out of bed.
I finished doing my comments on the
sga_squee rewatch: two of them plus closing thoughts. Then I decided to rewatch this week's Glee episode. Ah, yes, the "joke" I'd forgotten about: "cheney ... bush ... landing strip". ::shakes head:: Uh-huh.
I spent tons of time downloading ringtones. I tried to put as many contacts into categories as possible. And chose music that I really like to hear. Swan Lake. Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Habanera. Prince Igor. Some sprightly Handel. A mixed bag. I'm quite pleased. I'd intended to take a nap but was busy in bed playing with the phone. Then BD called. He's planning to come to church tomorrow for the first time in months. He'll be on a scooter for the first time at church.
I also used my reader for the first time. I chose a Star Trek novel from 1983. So I've learned that a regular tabletop is too high as I'm too short to see the screen without leaning my head back. But I sent a thank-you e-mail to the donor and received her acknowledgement.
Okay, it's almost time for me to slip my hands into my winter gloves and toddle off to bed. Yes, the cold is really affecting my fingers. ::sighs:: So ... off to bed and a brand new day!

Do you have Isotoner gloves where you live? Their constant quasi-massaging action and snug fit are a blessing for my fingers. I especially recommend the thinsulate lined ones. In any case, you should wear them to bed (no matter how silly or utterly dramatic you would feel doing so)!
As for other short-term remedies, do you use a dishwasher (I believe most homes have them as a standard appliance in the kitchen)? If you do, I would recommend you try to wash more dishes by hand. That was imparted to me by the head of the arthritis clinic nearly two decades ago (when my condition wasn't as advanced). I have to agree with him that moving my fingers in hot water does provide temporary relief.
::sending you soothing hugs, too::

Maybe if I stopped it would get worse. :(
