Yes, it really happened. The last two were unloaded and their contents distributed - with a certain logic and deliberation - into the two lower kitchen drawers and neither one's contents resemble junk. What a relief. I broke down the cartons and they're waiting to go out with the recycling next Friday.

To my surprise, I slept very well, not getting up until 9. That made me feel so much better. I gave away more stuff today via the owner's volunteering (loads of lovely satin nighties, some with matching jackets) and I still have to hang up some of my other lingerie. But that can wait until tomorrow. I also want to hang up my lovely piece of linen depicting New Zealand. It was sent to me by a pen pal in the late 70s after the first "Star Wars" movie came out. I remember sending Ellen a fancy touristy book on TO that contained a picture of my - at the time - hoity-toity building (before management allowed it to fall into disrepair). I'm just glad I have something tangible to retain the memories of her. Oh, she was an eccentric fan, too. She's board planes (heading for cons) in costume bearing fake weapons. Ah, the good old days when one could do that.

And, in another discovery, I was delighted to note that I hadn't given away my ergonomic vegetable peeler. In fact, I have TWO! I'm rolling my eyes to see how such a small thing can make me happy. But, then, that's my reality now. OTOH, I am hoping to do something radical, but I'll wait to see if I'm successful before blabbing all about it. In the evening, I played with my makeup. I refilled two of my Dior containers (mixing up leftover product from Dior and tacky cheap stuff from the dollar store; hey, I'm trusting the Dior stuff to redeem the lesser stuff).

Anyway, that's it for my scintillating and exciting day. Now it's time for trying to revive my poor hands. Gloves, cream ... STAT.
