For two days, I've been dealing with a horrid headache over the blind eye (because being blind isn't enough, dontcha know?), resulting in me crawling back into bed to try to sleep it off. Which seems to work for a wee bit (with the assistance of meds). But that doesn't eliminate the fact that I was actually miserable. ::sighs::
At least today I managed to distract myself by watching this week's mostly feel-good epi of N.C.I.S. Yes, there were tears in my eyes at the end. I'll have to rewatch it because I'm not sure as to culpability.
Otherwise, I'm cranky, being cooped up indoors since Sunday. Well, I guess I'm going to get LOTS of fresh air tomorrow. Why? Because it's the Party/Meeting of the vision loss support group. Normally (when I lived closer), I'd have my ::coughs:: dependable transportation service to get me there (and back). But NOT this time. Nosiree Bob. At 11 p.m., my request disappeared off the computer system (boy, computer REALLY said NO), so I'll be forced to take two buses and the subway (and walk a wee bit) to get to the venue. The ONLY good thing is that I won't have to sit around waiting and wondering anxiously whether my ride will show up. But, seriously, I'd much rather be independent when it's warmer outside. That snow had better be gone when I set foot outside tomorrow.
And, yes, I still have ALL those things-to-do that have been piling up. I guess Friday will now be my busy day. ::sighs a whole bunch more::
I guess I'd better go to bed. Tomorrow morning is going to slam into me with gusto. ::shudders::
