I'd become so accustomed to sleeping until 9:30 that it was a shock to wake up around 6:30 and realize it would be difficult to get back to sleep. Something the body sometimes knows instinctively. But I didn't want to freeze in front of the computer. So I grabbed my copy of "The Shack" along with my flashlight/lantern and started reading a new chapter. It was semi okay, because clutching the open book with one hand while aiming the lantern light was difficult. I ended up turning my strong bedside lamp on and leaning over to read some more. But I tired myself out so crawled back into bed around 8, resetting the alarm again for 9:30. When the alarm rang I so did NOT want to get out of bed. In that short time, I'd incorporated some of what I'd read into a dream where I was surrounded by people trying to help me. The only thing is that I hadn't had my meal delivered yet. Finally, around 4:00 p.m. - in the dream - I turned to someone and asked whether I should phone to see where it was!

Hee - the funny thing is that my meal was delivered on the early side today. You don't see me complaining, though I still don't know what the kitchen was thinking of, putting a dollop of tartare sauce on the roasted chicken leg resting next to the braised cubed potato (the latter was nom-yummy).

After I'd eaten, I was struck by lethargy AGAIN, so scheduled a shortish nap. It wasn't a good one, but it was better than nothing.

I did well during College Jeopardy and got Final Jeopardy right again, though - seriously - it was such an easy answer, even if one doesn't have the books of the Bible stuck in one's head.

And I finally wrote my e-mail to the church's musical director, filled with loads of praise for three different things, and ending with a heartfelt plea for her to include my fave hymn (and reason why). Here's hoping my soul gets the respite it needs so very much. And, on an optimistic note (la?), I'll wish you all a good night!
