Obviously, it's all because of the insatiable cold. I'm so fed up with it. And still feeling a little rumbly. Luckily, my bus showed up really early (and the driver was so nice; I think he was French-Canadian), so I got to church where it was warm-warm-warm.
Brent was still away (don't know why) so Rev. Kevin presided and Rev. Deana preached a terrific sermon on love vs fear. And I just managed to scoop up a few words at the end to form my Communion prayer. Oh, I so needed to be on duty today. Some of my encounters were so precious. There's one guy who comes up to me often. He's not well, but we get into a place of unity when he places his hand on my arm as I'm blessing him.
I also managed to chat with John about the house reno and his laundry problem. [The funny thing is that the epi aired again in the evening.]
If anything, the temp seemed to be even colder after church. But the interior of the cab was toasty warm, as was the Indian-style music the driver had playing.
Unfortunately, I was so-so-so frozen when I got home and it just didn't go away. Finally, I just had to crawl into bed and take a nap, as that was the warmest place for me. Now you see just why I am so angry ... to have my life dictated to the extent I can't function. I'm just feeling barely warmer now, so will have to go stand in front of the micro-furnace to warm my legs up. And, as if the temps weren't enough, there was lots of stupid fluffy snow on the ground everywhere. I. Hate. Winter!!!!!!!
