Yup, I was completely wrecked this morning. Fell asleep immediately and only woke up to the alarm. But I was exhausted just from getting ready. I'm happy I only have two more Sundays this year before taking a two-Sunday break (attending PJ Church). When I walked out, it was a dangerous situation as we had major FOG. Wow! I couldn't see the sidewalk. I could barely see anything in front of me. When the blind blonde becomes more blind, Houston, we have a problem!
At least my driver got me to church safely. Once inside, I got to examine all of "Santa's" wares. I found only one item I liked: a hanger for multiple Kissymas cards. There's also the beautiful silver wreath trivet church-John snagged for me after service last week. So I put both items away. Ashley also surprised both of us by giving us cartoon animal calendars. Apparently there are snarky captions. How delightful!
Church was - comme d'habitude - fabulous. We have a pre-service jam session between our music director and drummer. My regret is that I can never stay for extras such as Jazz Vespers today. Sigh. OTOH, my pewmate T created an exquisite cross-stitch copy of an iconic photograph of Brent. Only 110 colours of threads and over 30,000 stitches in an 8x10 (IIRC). Talk about a labour of love. After the service, I was very late being picked up, so they replaced the bus with a cab. When I got in, I had to settle down and do my writing thing. Always a different challenge. I didn't finish until 5-ish. So, so tired. After watching the news, I turned the channel to nature music. That's all I've had on. I had two of the cats as company as S. had left to meet SuM for dinner. I finally herded the cats out as I wanted some alone time just to decompress. I don't know if I'm at that stage, but I'm definitely yawning and falling asleep. So I think I'd better hit the bed. Should have done more laundry today, but that wasn't going to happen. Sigh again. Shall we try later this week? Let's shall.
