Where exactlyÉ Well, on the evening news, the peripatetic weatherman was at Woodbine Beach (just a few miles south of me) enjoying the delights of the Food Truck Festival. Forty food trucks. ::moans at the thought:: As if that weren' tantalizing enough, Brian posted an article on FB about artisanal butter available in TO. There were several sources and mouth-watering descriptions. Okay, I need to have a buter shopping excursion one of these days.
Despite the fact that my poor computer is still sick, I tried to distract myself. Repeating yesterday's waking time of around 6:50 a.m., I had an early afternoon nap, waking just in time to feed the cats … the yowling cats that are getting on each other's nerves (with the exception of Ce-Ce who is still spending most of her time with me). As for the computer, I've decided to try approaching the problem from a different angle. As it's nearly impossible for me to react quickly and decisively act/react with commands, I'm going to press the iPad into use as a regular computer. I'm thinking, if I can attach a document, open it on the iPad, fix the colours, then print it, I'll be (temporarily) saved. 'cuz it's so hard to get a hold of that wascawy baby bro of mine. Sigh.
Continued reading my fascinating French book where some of the details floored me. French officials make use of a "cumul" system, by which they can hold more than one position simultaneously. So the President of the country could still be a Mayor … and so on. picking up both (or more) salaries! And people were in favour of keeping that practice. Then there were the things we already know, that sexual morality is considered to be a minor issue when it comes to elected officials and the press wouldn't waste their time trying to ferret out the dirty details. This is the first non-fiction book the club will be discussing next month, so we should have fun with it.
Other than that, it was just the usual TV including the first round reveal of ToC finalists (repeat) on Jeopardy! Off to bed … now?
