What an amazing day. First of all, it was an almost normal day with moderate temps and a few clouds to break up the sun's rays. I had a lovely chat with our fab next door neighbour before I was picked up by a driver who recognized me. We then proceeded to pick Jan up. Yay! Guaranteed roast quail. When we arrived at church at 9:30, I traded my peaches for the quail (and paid her). We sat outside chatting until almost 10.
When I got inside the Sanctuary, I was surprised to see Ashley there. Then (other) Brian showed up. The only one missing was church-John. Anyway, Brian was too impatient and said I should look behind me. When I did, Ashley handed me a … "Come From Away" CD!!!!! What? How? Well, the boys had tried to find it in brick'n'mortar stores until she stepped in with her magical online ways. So I now have the music I so wanted (and won't have to wait until October). When c-J finally showed up, he was peeved that they hadn't waited until he was there for the big reveal. Awww, how considerate of them all.
After the service, I enjoyed sitting outside for more than 30 minutes. Finally, I was home and focusing on my review. I included some nostalgic details in it. After I herded the cats, I fed them lunch and then collapsed. I'd already devoured my roast quail. It would have been amazing on the day of, but the freezing preserved enough of its yumminess.
The day had been so wonderful, watching the evening news was a downer. So I returned to reading simultaneously. Now I'm just going to slip into oblivion, dreaming of playing my new CD tomorrow. Wow - I still can't believe I have it.
