Well, yesterday's productivity came to a halt as I received a phone call necessiting a rain check from tomorrow until next week. Actually, that's okay. Not only am I a good sport (brownie points for me!) but I was just having too much on my plate today. As I couldn't find a place for my Star Wars figurines, I stuck them back in the packing carton. But the dining table is mostly cleared away. I also found important gov't docs ... not where I thought I'd put them. So, no grocery shopping, empty returns or manicure or pedicure. What does that leave me time for? [Sounds of Jeopardy theme] What is a nap is the correct answer.

So I had a nap. With extremely strange dreams. There was a gala charity fundraiser and there were door prizes. I had a CD I was giving away and I had to find Table 10 because that's where the mike was. Except I kept getting lost and locked off stage in corridors that went on forever. Behind one door was an exhibit of dusty wedding dresses with enormous (tacky) fake pearl necklaces. Down another corridor was a dressing room with white satin ballerina dresses. I was getting frantic, because I was locked in and was wondering if I should actually do the unladylike thing (of pounding on the door and yelling for help). But I managed to find my way out, just in time. When I got to the dining room, I was handed a book of music (sheet music) that was supposed to be a part of the prize. But I was confused, because that's not what I had been told before. And then I woke up. Darn. The preamble to the gala/dresses sequence had been odd as well, even though I can't recollect anything ... now.

I was hungry but didn't have the motivation to eat. Still, I finally climbed upon the step stool and found a can of clam chowder. I ate it with melba toast rounds. I placed an order online for the new CD by Paul Potts. I should get it next week. M and I talked a few times and I received encouragement to give my GP hell on Friday. If not, M's stomping in the next time! Also some new advice for another strategy in the unofficial (as-of-yet) plan.

I can't stay up late because I'll have to be up early to book my rides for Friday. And M's coming over in the afternoon. I'm looking forward to that. And chicken wings!

Teeter-tottering hugs,
H.
