Yes, I should have been wearing an elegant hat ... to go with my sophisticated editing job. Sort of 40s era. ::stares at self in grandiose self-delusion::

Riiiiight, because that would have looked soooooo good with the ratty black nightgown and my slippers! Well, the good thing about working from home is that you don't have to dress. I know that there are differing opinions but today I just needed comfy because the back and eye strain were baaaaaad.

Mind you, I didn't send the main doc until exactly 5 p.m., so I'd been hard at work at it all day, stopping only to have a few bites of mushroom egg foo yong. After that, I still had to send my quasi DVD commentary as to why I made certain changes, also asking the author to make other changes in the footnotes, because trying to alter them crashed my word program yesterday. So not a good thing.

Brian texted me a couple of times on the way over, so I just had barely enough time to throw my lounging gown on, wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I sent him out to get a couple of subs. I told him to surprise me. While he was gone, continued with my list and finally, finally sent it off. Unfortunately, my intermediary did not respond, so the author probably wouldn't be getting anything until tomorrow morning.

When Brian returned, even though it was a bit cool, I wanted us to sit out at the picnic table. Over my lounging gown and capelet, I threw on my spring/fall coat (but ::giggles:: no undies or socks). It was ... chilly ... sitting at the table so, as soon as we finished eating, I suggested scrambling back indoors. We just chatted a bit and then Brian helped me take out major recycling. Yes ... slowly but surely.

As he's going to his biological sister's for Thanksgiving Day, that means that M and I will be definitely on our own. Take-out, anybody? Definitely untraditional, but that's okay. I can do a fancy dinner in a couple of weeks' time to make up for it.

So, that was my looooong, hard-working day. Hope yours was good.
Industrious hugs,
H.
