Okay, okay, so I survived the night of bruises. And I took the Arthritis meds, even though they made me sick. Not a good thing.
I was up at 7 and my driver phoned at 7:15 to say he'd deliver my groceries in a few minutes. So that was a good thing, especially as the snow had already started. It's going to be a baaaaad day. After that, I had brekkie and then did the laundry. I'm finally, finally getting excited about the holidays, especially after I put the red cover on the futon. But, wow, I'm going to have so much to do tomorrow and Sunday including cleaning to which I am normally allergic! Well, it makes me all hurty-wurty.
After the laundry, I crawled into bed for a nap. And, yes, I'm the only person who can get a charley horse while sleeping! This is ridiculous. John called, saying he was going to the supermarket, so I asked if he'd pick up some hand soap. He said he was going to walk over along the lake. IN THE DARK????? After he called, my good friend B. from church called. We talked about Paul's service and other things. I couldn't believe we were on the phone for 45 minutes. But he is very sweet and caring (and I am OTOH too cynical at times). But I can't wait to invite him over to my place.
I had less than an hour to get ready for the lobby party, so I jumped in the shower and then did my face and hair and stuck a Christmas pick in the top of my hairdo. I didn't stay long. It was too cold (I had three cups of hot chocolate) and this not seeing is really making me feel anti-social. I swear I'm not (but it doesn't help when I can't remember people and they probably think I'm stuck-up).
I'm drinking another creamsicle special right now and, even though I'm not leaving home this weekend, will be able to experience church on Sunday through the magic of webcasting. So that is a relief. I'm 48 hours behind on my flist so I'll be catching up this weekend, in between cleaning and decorating.
Wherever you are, keep warm.
Harried hugs,
Helenka
