Yes, yes. So what trouble did Helenka get herself into TODAY?

Um, no trouble, but - as I had important stuff to do, I set the alarm for 8. And did I do any of the so-called important stuff? Why, of course not. After my customary brekkie, I went back to bed to have a nap. From which John woke me up (in the middle of strange dreams) by telephone from the Very. Next. Room to say he'd set aside a portion of his yummy rice-beans-red pepper-hazelnuts-potato thingy for me. Oooooh. Foodies. That got me out of bed so that I could heat the conglomeration IN my food program's soup choice of the day ... carrot. So I had a delightfully tasty and filling lunch.

And I still hadn't done any important stuff. But I was pouting, because I really, really, really wanted to go to the hardware store (which I thought was now closed on Sundays as it had been last week). And, if I did that, then I could get that long extension cord for the microwave and also white spray paint to paint my support cane. And then I'd get food, too. Except that's usually Sunday's activity. So I dithered long enough that John actually did go to the supermarket and came back saying it was nice out.

At this point, it had just turned 4 and I still had to wash my hair (urgently). So I did, then dried it with the blow dryer (aaaaaah), got dressed and went out on my adventure at 5:21. My hardward guy was funny. He said they still intended to be open on Sundays (not only a summer thing), but had closed last Sunday for - what else - a hardware show. I was so happy though, my inconvenience was forgotten.

I didn't have to get much in the way of food because of the meals being delivered, so I got organic 'nanas, avocados on special, milk, gummy worms (shhhh - you didn't read that), granola bars and a treat to share with John because he'd said his sweet tooth was giving him cravings ... organic chocolate chip cookies. And then I came home. I'm so glad I made myself go out, because the temp did actually reach 70.

We shared a couple of cookies that did taste VERY good. And then I got to microwave my dinner choice (salmon on rice with broccoli and carrots). And didn't blow out any fuses. Yay. After that I was SO tired (must have been all the important fresh air), so I napped for 100 minutes, waking up only to post this and to perhaps waste some more time before bed. As it's already cool out (and I'm all sparkly clean), I'm sleeping in an extra 30 minutes tomorrow so no shower. Because ... ugh, darkness and showers are no fun. And I want FUN!!! Okay, off to read what fun things my flist has done today. Talk to you domani. Ciao, tutti.
