... or mutual adoration squee?

I have a complimenting thingy going on with the sax player who is 159 ways of awesome. So I told her yesterday that she rocked the place (as she does every time she's there). And she came back with congratulations on my speech which means she pays attention to the one-minute celebration. [I guess it's a really good thing that I speak clearly, distinctly and loudly, huh?]

Anyway, then she said it appears that there are a whole bunch of really nice things happening in my life and reminded me of my feeling of accomplishment when I finished (and announced) my bigbang last year.

But it's just so gratifying to give compliments and receive genuine ones as well. Okay, it's a squee-for-all ... um, a squee-pallooza???

Yes, of course I'm silly. And I consider THAT to be a gift as well!!!

As I don't have an icon of an indolent lady lounging (oops, just corrected it from lunging) on a divan, I'll have to use my wishy-washy icon. Which is fine, as it denotes a lack of conscious direction.

So ... um ... I may have stayed up until - EEEEEEEK - 5 am (reading something fairly stupid, though I still wanted to know how it turned out). As a result, I slept in later than usual. And didn't get around to having brekkie (chicken cacciatore, mashed 'taters and broccoli and cauliflower) until noon.

And, then, I needed an emergency nap stat. When I woke up at 3, I decided to bake a frozen baguette for lunch. Luckily, it only suffered about an inch of freezer burn. I enjoyed it with sliced cheddar and tomato soup mixed with hearty veg. Suitably fortified with hot food, I set out to wash loads of dishes and pots and pans (obviously not mine, duh). Then back to bed for a while longer.

It appears our property lords-and-masters have finally deigned to turn on the heat because I can actually feel a titch of warmth against the register. Colour me so not impressed. But I'm still sleeping in my cozy black velour top over my nightie under major flannel, etc. layers.

I was a tiny bit more gregarious this evening, commenting on many peeps' journals and getting loads of comments in return. Was fun. I've eaten my dinner of apples and 'nanas and nearly finished my bottle of iced tea ('cuz I made a lot of it earlier). As I need to concentrate on my story (due Wednesday), I'm actually going to go to bed (yes, and sleeeeeeep) at a relatively civilized hour, so that I can dedicate tomorrow to finishing it. But I certainly appreciate having had the extra few days to change and elaborate on details in my head (yay for helpful brains). So, until tomorrow, nighty-night, all.
