But blonde has always been able to paint pretty pictures with words. So....

Oh, how the painkillers worked. What a relief. And, even more surprisingly, I was able to find an attractive outfit to wear: my gold/black sweater with a delicate spiderweb of a gold/black scarf as well as my faux leopard-trimmed wool hat along with one of my curly hair scrunchies over my ponytail.

Church-John picked me up and treated me to a Boston Cream donut whose chocolate I got smeared all over my fingers. Eeek! Brent's sermon on living in the now and happiness was very insightful. After church, I learnt to my dismay that I have a ride only TO church but not home on Christmas day. Why am I learning this only now? ::sighs::

When I got home (after sharing a big bus with BD), I found all sorts of lovely surprises and Christmas greetings which I'll have to reply to by tomorrow. A bit too out of it today to the extent that I was feeling wiped out - before 5:00 p.m., leading to an awkward nap. I also went ahead and, crossing my fingers, booked my ride home on Christmas day (even though the organizer had suggested I make my request in person before dinner). I wasn't about to suffer through the resulting anxiety. [I'm a little disappointed that RS did not answer my text about ride times. I don't know why she's so unreliable. ::sighs::] I was lucky that the system gave me my ride, without even a waiting list. Okay, one potential problem averted. Now I can stop worrying ... so yay!
