So, not only did I have to get up twice in the middle of the night to pop more pills (I've lost count) just to be able to get some more sleep, I didn't even find out about the time change until Rev. Jeff mentioned it at the beginning of his sermon. Good thing I use my smartphone as my alarm clock!
I so did not want to go to church because it was c-c-cold out. But I resisted putting on my winter coat. 'cuz what will I do when it's really cold? At least I was cheered up when Ash delivered all three DVDs I'd ordered ("The Turning Point", "The Competition", and "40 Carats"). Now I just have to wait for some decent sight (which so wasn't available today) to begin watching. But I was on duty today, using the words from both Rev. Jeff's sermon and the lyrics from our soloist to create a short but lovely blessing.
Unfortunately, I had a long wait for my minivan and, naturally, I was stubborn enough to sit outside. At least I had my wool scarf and winter gloves. When I got home, I had a bit of chocolate and two pills and went to bed. I dozed off; imagine my disgust when I woke up a short while later, in the grip of more pain. Yup, two more pills. And back to bed, watching a few more Peppa Pig cartoons before I curled in on myself, trying to stay warm and as pain-free as possible.
Later on, I watched last night's SNL. I tried to open a can of onion soup but I believe my opener is out of juice. So I'll have to ask S. tomorrow to replace its batteries and also the ones in my flashlight. Ugh. Anyway, it's time for more pills and bed. ::crosses fingers twice as hard::
So, just about the only thing that amused me today was reading Brian's FB post about spending the weekend at a nature lodge with the social, recreation, and sports club I used to belong to in the early 2000s (and Brian still does). He's having a great time. Lucky pup!
