Okay, so really the icon is of Rodney admitting he's pretty screwed up, but I'll let it represent me and my mood today.
So, my eye is fixed ... but it's not really.
It's healing, but I can only see shapes.
So ... um ... you get the picture. Or not, as the case may be.
Now I'm waiting for my arthritis clinic appt (eek) next week. Where I want answers and a plan of action and not merely platitudes. I've put up with those for too many years and see how decrepit it's gotten me. Well, I'm not sounding indecisive there, am I?
Anyway, for the good part of today, John came over in the morning with his cup of coffee and I'd made myself a pot of apple cinnamon tea (yum). He moved a lot of stuff and we finally got the cookbooks back onto their dedicated bookcase. Mind you, they're not in alphabetical order, but I can do that at my leisure.
After that, we carried out months of recycling. And enjoyed the nice afternoon sun and cool breeze. Before he left, I introduced John to the pleasures of the Hewlett ass(ets) in Where the Heart Is. As John loves trompe l'oiel painting, I know he'll really enjoy it.
And, then, I felt all weebly and wobbly - I guess mentally - so I had a two-hour nap interrupted by a couple of phone calls. But I did feel a lot better (and warmer) when I woke up. For my main meal, I heated up minestrone soup into which I'd added a half-can of chickpeas. Yes, I certainly got my protein today. I had a long talk with M and watched a titch of TV and that's my day. I hope I'll have the incentive tomorrow to do some more tidying up, now that the piles of books haven't overrun the dining area. Shall we all keep our toes and fingers crossed.
And, even though I may be feeling wishy-washy, my hugs to you all are always firm!
