Yes, the language is intentional! I finished the book-from-hell this morning. What a relief. After the endless rage-reading, I finally encountered a tiny bit of lyrical English. But, by that point, I had no desire to stop to copy any of it into my notes. It was definitely a case of good riddance to bad rubbish. Even worse to read how many accolades the author who'd taken a decade to write it but was too lazy to know how New Yorkers speak!!! ::shudders:: The only good thing about reading this morning was that I had excellent vision.

With that as a motivator, I watched last night's excellent Bull in which the team managed to discredit a railroad that had buried "incident reports" of switches that failed, blamed human error (especially in this case where the pilot was sleepy, crashed into a stalled train, killing 4). After Bull was presented with that info, he did a running commentary as the "expert" walked himself like the hapless coyote into the roadrunner's trap! And could only plead the fifth … weakly. I was cheering at the end.

I'm glad I had something positive to wash the taste of the bad book out of my mind. But the rest of the day was stressful. I took a 50-question survey which would be presented to the government about the Covid-19 crisis and its impact on the blind community. I was pleased to see that the designer had adopted my suggestions. ::pats self on the back:: Also had a pleasant chat with my co-leader of my old group. And had my usual admin chores for the blind group.

So, dealing with lots of horrid pain in the evening was a letdown. Okay, bed, you're my only hope!
