Yup.
It's official.
I received a call from a very, very, very nice man at the CNIB (Canadian National Institute For The Blind), so I've been officially accepted to benefit from their various services. When he was talking, I actually got dizzy from all the stuff. And shivering from the nervousness. It felt weird to be acknowledging so many of my anxieties (like being afraid of going places by myself) and knowing that there were solutions!

So, I'm now waiting for my official information package. In the meantime, I agreed to be seen by their own ophthalmologist (not to replace my eye doc, but I guess just for statistical purposes). Two hours later, someone called me to see if I could come in a week from Wednesday. Wow - that was fast.

I was also busy today, doing a favour related to the vast storehouse of business acumen in my head. Except that being on the cellphone for more than half an hour made my (guess what) eye ache. Spoil sport!

After that, I sent a very happy e-mail to my new sis, RS, telling her the fabulous news. So, of course, she had to call me back and we talked on the cell while it was recharging.

Then, because I just couldn't handle being on the phone, I sent the good news to both Brian and John via e-mail.

Let me just release an enormous sigh of relief.
Oops! Sorry for blowing you away.
Anyway, sleepy time is upon me and a chance for dreams with all the little piggies.
