As I'm sitting at John's computer, it seems the default style for LJ shows two goofy penguins, one large and a smaller one. So ... that's the only cute thing, though at least I'm not begrudging the fact that I actually have access. Hey, I'm not ungrateful, but just discombobulated. Just how much? Well, I'm not eating very much. I didn't bother with the cheese and crackers last night that were supposed to accompany the soup. ::sighs::
But, speaking of food, I was thrilled that my regular delivery person is back on the route. I was excited to hear her voice as I buzzed her in. I'd been worried she'd been assigned to a new route but, no, she'd just taken an extra long vacay to take care of her grandchild. OTOH, if I weren't having enough problems, I've found that my new phone is SUCH an energy hog. If I don't hear the warning ping to recharge it, then it will go dead later with no warning at all. That happened this morning. ::sighs:: Gee, I wonder if it's charged yet. Also on tap this morning, the power went out for just a second, but only in the living room and kitchen. ::sighs some more:: So I had to go resetting stuff.
Anyway, I'd better go finish the dishes (one more pot to go). And then there's Mulligatawny soup for dinner (along with last night's cheese and crackers).
I'm hoping I can sleep better than last night, too. Yes, I had a weird nap and went to bed before midnight (feels highly unnatural for the blonde). But, as I couldn't sleep, I turned the lights on and played phone Solitaire until I got sleepy again. It's hilarious to see the phone fall out of my hands as I nod off. Yes, yes, I manage to amuse even myself.
