Well, before I get to that part, let's start with 424. What's that, you ask? Aha! You've fallen into the trap. That – my dearies – is when I WOKE UP!!!!! ::growls in frustration:: So ... what did I do? I pulled out the freshly-washed leggings that I hadn't mended and fixed the hole. I was so proud of myself to be able to thread a narrow-eyed needle. Well, I was using my best sight of the day. When I was done, I removed the plastic shield and found I'd missed one end and there was also a wee hole above. So I had to thread the needle again. But then I was done and could get on with my morning. Which was c-c-cold though there was the promise of a nice day.

I ended up watching Glee for the third time. I still am formulating my impressions. After that, I had to scurry to finish my makeup and hair. My ride schedule showed 9:25. I ended up walking to the corner, the sun warming my back, even though it was still only around 50. Eek – and I wasn't wearing a coat, merely my black cotton capelet. When I got to church, I decided to take one picture of the coleus plants by the side door, as the rain had produced a lush growth. And then I scurried in.

As always, I was thrilled to be on duty. And I think I can be a motivating influence on my chair-bearer's partner who has an unusual eye defect. He needs an operation but is unwilling to give up time to heal. ::sighs in exasperation with stubborn people who aren't moi:: Church-John had moved into town this week, so the jokes were going around that now he'd be late because he'd think he didn't need to leave so early. But he got there and then fetched my special sheepskin pad. Ah ... much better! Brent's sermon topic was on diversity and it was terrific. Again, perfect source material for my communion prayer. Unfortunately, I had to scurry out very quickly as my return ride was scheduled for 12:30. I ended up having a delightful tour of different parts of TO (to match the wonderful conversation with the driver) as he avoided several super-busy parts of the city, compounded by the closed Gardiner AND street festivals galore. He followed my route suggestion (I make a terrific traffic strategist) and I got home much faster than he expected. In a way, I was sorry the trip was over as I'd sat in the front seat for a change and had luxuriated in the sun's penetrating heat as it massaged my left knee.

When I got in, I was ready to capitulate to my huge aches, but couldn't. Why not? Well, I had to load the walker with an enormous garbage bag and take it out. Only then could I collapse. Once again I wasn't very hungry. I had cereal, milk and my last 'nana at 8, then a two-hour nap and am now crunching through carrots. Have I eaten enough to take pain killers? Oh, I certainly hope so! I shouldn't be staying up too late, as I'm off to the eye specialist tomorrow and haven't checked my pickup time. ::crosses fingers:: Nighty-night and ouch, all.
