Well, not EVERYTHING was so la-la-laaaaaa. Last night, while playing Sillitaire, I did doze off and woke up a couple of hours later, pinned with terror from a tiny nightmare. So, I was being assaulted by someone I knew, an older man I'd worked for and - yes - he was trying to rape me. Now, IRL, this man was a pompous bully and sexist, too, but I'd never imagine him doing something like that. Anyway, I tried to call out, to scream - and I've had this happen in other dreams - but nothing but a whisper would emerge from my throat. Talk about not even being able to yell for help. Thankfully, I woke up at that point, slightly shaken, but managed to fall asleep again.
After that, I did end up waking up rather early, before 7. In the morning, I ordered my meals - two weeks' worth - and then watched tonight's episode (Outsiders) for
sga_squee. I'll be posting once I'm done writing.
Otherwise, I fought with my hair as I dried it with my blowdryer. It's getting long, but I think I want to keep growing it. And, because of the miserable weather and the fragile state of my bones preventing me from going shopping, I ended up really scrambling to find food for the weekend in the cupboard. I soaked two cups of chickpeas and cooked them up in the afternoon. Then I added the remainder of my Polish pickled cucumber salad. Well, it'll be ... interesting. After a wee tot of Bailey's Irish Cream on ice, I had an equally wee nap. But I'm up now, trying not to cough.
Anyway, I'd better post this. DW is doing a code push at midnight, so I don't want to have my pwecious post lost in translation. Or something. ::coughs for not emphasis, but for real::

Well, it WAS only chickpeas with a pickled Polish salad (try saying that quickly three times in a row). In any case, when the UNBROKEN ankle hurts way more than the one with the old fracture, there's NO way I'm going walkies for foodies on slippery sidewalks. Mind you, I think the funniest experiment was when I made blue cheese doughnuts (about 35 years ago). Though I do recall they tasted good (but I'm ... weird, lol).
