I am actually surprised I had a good day. Mind you I had to wake up at 6:45 to book my rides for tomorrow. Then I scrambled into the shower so I could be out by 8:45, stopping in at the bank for money, then going to get my hair cut. Um ... it's short ... and it looks really red! Hello = blonde here. Oh, well, I'm sure it'll fade (or I'll be buying a lighter colour next time).
After I got the haircut, I went off to the drugstore for tokens (there's supposed to be a fare raise soon - boo), chocolate (an essential food group) and new hair gel to go with my new do. Then, to the supermarket. I already had chicken suisse in the freezer, but wanted/needed other stuff. I bought an orange cauliflower and roasted veggie and cheddar sauce/dip. Also bagels, swiss cheese and honey maple turkey breast to make sandwiches for M and me tomorrow. And yogurt. And huge raspberries. And small adorable (!!!) sweet peppers in many colours.
Finally home and collapse. I had a titch to eat and then ... zzzzzzz. A two-hour nap was essential (and accomplished even with the beach creating machinery outside). I began cooking early and, of course, Brian was held up by traffic and was late. So chicken was lukewarm, but I zapped the cauliflower for an extra minute. He also brought a prezzie. He'd made special ribs (combined 3 sauces including hoisin and soy and used a dry rub). We each had a third of the rack and I'm saving the balance for M.
After dinner, we accessed the MLS listings. Now I know that Brian and I have really been siblings for many, many lifetimes. Because, independent of each other, we both chose the same townhouse!!! The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the location. But it has a wood-burning fireplace! And hardwood floors. Still, we looked at a bunch of others. Before he left, I showed him the best part of SGA Doppelganger. He hadn't noticed the impact of the music until I pointed it out. But he did get a bit of a McShep clue.
Anyway, before he left, we called M. It's our anniboobery today (yep, that's its new linguistic variation). So, tomorrow card buying and perhaps a little pig angel ornament prezzie!
Gracious hugs to all,
H.
