In reverse order, because I don't want to depress myself even more:

The ugly:
Upset stomach. And pain. And, um, consequences. [Oh, sometimes euphemisms rock!]

The bad:
Because of the tum and also because of the pain and crying and light sensitivity, I called M and cancelled coming over for dinner. So, instead, I had noodles and four stalks of celery for dinner. And a gravol. So far, so good. And M says I have to tell the doctor next week ALL about how depressed I am and that I don't think the operations worked. Oh, joy. Can I mail in my portion of the discussion?

The good (because there just had to be something good):
I watched an old David Hewlett film (Where the Heart Is). Oh, it was just like those screwball comedies from the depression era, which is not surprising because of the riches to rags and back to riches story. And the trompe l'oeil paintings were imaginative and impressive. Oh ... and DH's ass is a work of art all by itself. Yummy.

And that leads us to ...
The End!

You think the operations haven't worked? I'm very sorry to hear that. Is it, perhaps, a little early to tell, or are you certain?

Well, I'm neither a doctor ... or a hypochondriac, but I don't think I'm going to develop any more vision in the operated eye (and all I get now is vague images that I recognise ONLY because the right eye saw them first! And, to add to the discomfort and pain, BOTH of my eyes are now extremely light sensitive which means I'm falling behind on ell-jay and flinch when looking at my screen - even when wearing sunglasses.

I am so not looking forward to my visit to the doctor next Tuesday.

Subdued hugs,
H.

Hi, H. Have just got round to reading this. Am so sorry. Did you have any luck at the doctor's?

'Luck' is not the right word, I know, but I'm not sure which other one to use.
