I really should have a horsie icon (well, I should) but, as I don't, I'm using one of my Brokeback Mountain ones (which could be appropriate because, after all, it WAS filmed in Alberta standing in for Wyoming).

Anyway, I just got off the phone (30 minute conversation) with M who came back from riding class all happy and stuff (what a difference from a week ago, using the right saddle, mmm-hmm).

Before that, I'd had two naps totalling four hours (now that was nice, resting my eye).

Before that, I'd had a lovely supper/lunch of two open-faced cream cheese and smoked salmon on rye with two enormous, chunky onion slabs. Yes, I've always liked my raw onion, even if it doesn't always like me!

Before that, M called prior to leaving for the stables, saying we really should go out to dinner. And I was all grumpy and weepy because I certainly Do.Not.Want to have our postponed Valentine's day dinner while I feel so lumpy and frumpy (yes, I'm talking about my face ... again). I'd like to feel ... um ... romantic?? and pretty??? [Oy, that'll take forever!] But I said we could certainly take John out to the Indian place as a belated birthday prezzie, because that's not the same Big.Deal.

Before that, I woke up and that's all she wrote.

I'm relieved I don't have to be at the hospital at the crack of dawn tomorrow. And M is not accompanying me, but I'll see if the doctor allows the deputisation regarding inserting my eye drops. ::giggles:: At least I'm finding the potential conversation amusing, even if I hate getting eye drops.

Now, I'm just enjoying my little luxury (Lemon or Lime Perrier) before I toddle off to bed. And, how's this for silly stuff stuck in my head? I can't get the Star Wars soundtrack out of my head. No, not the original one, but the (original) one used in Blue Harvest. And I know people say it (BH) is derivative of Robot Chicken, but I still appreciate the aesthetic (go figure) of the Family Guy cast in BH. Yes, I am weird ... but I never have to remind y'all of that.

Anyway, I'm lifting up my glass and saying Cheers and it's been a long time since I was able to do that. Hugs to everybody,
H.

I rented "Blue Harvest" a few weeks ago. I'd seen much of it already, but watching it all as one film was funnier, plus it's got good extras.
