The purpose of my day was:
...to not be sick.
...to go shopping with Brian.
The first I did not accomplish. The only things I can eat safely are bagels, eggs, chocolate (yes, I know: a hardship) and powerade. Okay, bod, you can stop being nervous now. We're back home from the doctor's. But, no, it's not listening. It's being the boss of me.
Well, a better time was had when Brian picked me up. Mind you, as I couldn't eat, he just got himself a little something and we discussed strategies. I mentioned that I was there for him and that my gardening needs could wait till next week. We first went to Home Sense where I found these fabulous stoneware square pots ... oops, I'm not supposed to be finding anything. But we remembered the price and place, so next week, definitely getting. But patio furniture, meh.
We did find stuff at Sears, but it was way overpriced. We also stopped in at Sam's Club where nothing was what Brian wanted (but he got a big bag of choc chips so he can bake cookies). And, finally, we went to Canadian Tire, where I could actually haul myself up onto the bistro chair (a tiny bit higher than a normal chair, but not as skyscraper high as a barstool) using the one rung. And the table was a good size, but Brian was not pleased. Le sigh. But, Briaaaaaaaan, I could get into the chair. Anyway, I picked up two canisters of Lysol wipes and he got a set of drill bits, so our trip was not entirely for nothing. And we did test out my body, seeing if I could keep up with Brian's long legs. I didn't do too badly.
We called M from the car to gabble a bit. I finally got some details of his vacation. And then I was home and he was gone. Now, I'll have to eat a titch of something before taking my meds. Then, beddies. And talking myself into doing lots of laundry tomorrow.
Hugs accompanied by dramatic sighs,
Helenka
