It was an up and down day.
Up at 6:45 to do my phone redialing to book my rides. See my hands go to sleep in a frozen position. Okay, all done - even though they're sending something called a Zone Bus (because I'm travelling in the local area). Ooookay?
Then juice, but no 'nanas, because I ran out of them.
Then back to bed, reading another chapter of Middlesex before indulging in a nap.
Then a lovely shower with Euphoria. I thought I was all out, but found my sample tubes.
Then reading some adorable fanfic while getting dinner ready. It's salmon fillets drizzled with garlic olive oil and sprinkled with italian herbs. And a greek salad which I had Brian toss. We went out to the picnic table, but barely lasted as long as the food did, because the cool wind was tossing the salad onto the table. Le sigh. So, back inside where we talked for a bit. He's happy I'm getting my ass in gear. And then he was off, having to look after domestic details at home.
I returned John's earlier phone call and brought him up to date on the meetings I'm setting up. Hey, universe, could you please give us a break?
And, now, I really should try to write some more of my sad Rodneyfic, even if I don't get a chance to post it before tomorrow night's show. Ah, well, I can only try. Besides, I'm distraught enough with the horrible press release yesterday. And that's a sigh and a half at least. Maybe a groan, too.
The usual hand-wavy hugs,
H.
