Yup, napping from about 7:30. I should have been up at 9:40, but I guess my ears didn't feel like hearing the alarm. Le sigh.
Anyway, Lemieux's Lazarus as the icon because OMG I had a voice at church today. High F in the Lord's Prayer, no prob. I even turned around to one of my friends in amazement and broke his concentration. And I had a clear voice for everything else. Very, very unusual. Now, yes, I know I found my cough drops and stuck them in my purse, but they were just Halls, not even my fancy stuff I have sent in from England! Still, I wasn't about to complain. Mind you, as soon as the service was over and I was talking to my friend (saying I felt like going home, putting a classical mass or requiem on and singing along), I felt my voice drying up. Okay, okay. I can take a hint. The thrift shop upstairs brought a selection of jewelry down for another friend and me to see before the service and I picked up a smart, rhinestone set of wings with RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) in the centre. Cool. And, to top things off, Brent was very revealing in his sermon. Today was his 31st anniversary as Senior Pastor. I have to send him a thank-you e-mail tomorrow or Tuesday.
My ride was early and I met two visually impaired peeps so we ended up comparing stories on the way home. I was so looking forward to picking up Chinese around the corner and had the driver let me off there, but ::wibbles:: they were closed. So I came home and had a cold can of mushroom barley soup. And some ice cream later. I guess that's why I ended up napping so long. I watched some TV but sadly didn't have time to write. Le sigh, encore.
So, that was my happy but short day. I hope you had a happy, long day. Well, one of us should have had it.
Sunday best hugs,
H.
