TITLE: The Answer; Sequel to The Call
AUTHOR: Helena K.
PAIRING: Giles/Wesley
RATING: FRAO, for sexual activity, aftermath of torture, psychological distress
WARNING: M/M Slash
SUMMARY: Wesley tries to help Giles out of the abyss.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: 1) I couldn't leave Giles in his misery (and Wesley in his) for ever.
2) This is not intended to portray an instant cure for past sexual torture, but merely provides a tiny spark of hope that may burst into life with proper professional help.
NOTE: "Speech"
*Emphasis* in thought or speech.
DISCLAIMER: The characters belong to Joss and a whole bunch of alphabetical entities. I know the Polish alphabet. Not the same thing. Not for profit, just fun.
FEEDBACK: Gently, please.
DISTRIBUTION: Only at GRB; now posted to my LJ; anybody else, please ask.
The call came…as it had so many times before, in the middle of the night.
Wesley rolled over and picked up the telephone. “I'm here.”
The anguished, raspy whisper on the other end of the line managed only one word. “Please.”
Wesley sighed and replied, “Tonight. I'll be there tonight.” He heard the click as his caller hung up abruptly. After this exchange, Wesley tried to let sleep reclaim him, but the disturbing images of his caller refused to dissipate from his weary mind. Something had to be done about the situation and he was the only one who could try to do it.
After another (thankfully) uneventful day, he was able to get away early. The necessities were stowed behind him on the bike and nothing was keeping him from his destination.
Nothing … except for apprehension and … hope. This time things would be different, Wesley vowed to himself. He had to hope that he could pull Rupert through and to relieve him of his hideous burden, one they had both carried far too long.
