Title: "Trick or Treat"
Fandom: Glee, post S3 (specifically August 2, 2012)
Type: Gen fanfic
Characters: Kurt, Artie, Brittany, Sugar, Principal Figgins and a surprise character
Trufax: I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked up the dates of Chris's book tour. He actually did cover three cities in Ohio at the end of July. I love it when fact is so ... helpful, lol.
Author's Notes: Written for a particular contest where the prize was a signed copy of Chris Colfer's book. Alas, the person running it apparently didn't care for dorky fic. But I'm glad I wrote it, even if it's only for me ... and shared with you!

He chuckled. Who would have thought that a place such as Lima, Ohio would provide so much amusement for one of his kind? But, then, he also liked the two four-letter words themselves. They appealed to him in an instinctive way. So, he leaned back and watched as tiny wrinkles marred the fabric of the universe.

After all, when you don't work, EVERY day is a holiday. Right??? Only quieter or louder, depending on the occasion.

Ahhh. I was so happy to be able to sleep in, with the nighttime temperature blissfully cool. The changing angle of the Earth already means that the sun isn't penetrating as deep through the uncovered window in the morning. So, even though I slept in, I was able to sit in front of the 'puter and not be struck by excessive heat and light. That's such a relief. I sent Brian an e-mail, forwarding a recipe for Sweet Potato Pancakes that sounds simply delish. So he MUST make it for moi! I haz spoken. ::giggles::

I started giving serious consideration to the thought of moving my bed and sideboard for more than the reason of getting the reader. So I went to the saved plans and found I'd already made the changes a year ago. The ony problem is that, because this is a free program, it's not accurate. It shows the length properly but not the width. Ha! I found out the hard way. So, just to be extra certain, I'm going to plot furniture manually on graph paper. Okay, so where do I get graph paper? ::sighs:: In any case, moving things will allow me to ::snickers:: KILL all dust bunnies and retrieve anything that's fallen behind stuff. Also put up some pictures while not trying to balance on a bed. ::ponders changing icon to ballet slippers::

Also, as I plan to do all of this during the month of September, I want to FINALLY be rid of the cartons at the food of the bed. I'll have to be, because there's no space for them in the rearranged furniture. I know, I know ... when I get motivated, it's scary. OTOH, it could also be the drugs speaking, allowing me to get through the day with almost no pain. And that makes all the difference in how I react. I know, that shouldn't be rocket science but I've seen how my GP just Doesn't. Get. It. Anyway, I don't want to think of her ... only good things. So, I think I'm going to read for a bit and then join the special sleep piggies. At least I won't be kept awake by fireworks. No official ones, but also no people setting them off in the nearby parks. I'm more than pleasantly surprised and quite relieved.
